PRACTICAL GUIDE
PPR: what should I understand before starting?
Start with your goal and time horizon. A regular amount you can sustain is a starting point for building savings over time.
- Separate long-term savings from money you may need for upcoming expenses or emergencies.
- Check whether capital is guaranteed and understand the risk. Capital and returns are not guaranteed in the Tranquilidade PPR shown on this site.
- Read the product information: costs, recommended horizon, contribution rules and withdrawal or transfer terms.
- Assess the tax benefit against your circumstances. If you use it, withdrawing outside the statutory conditions may require repayment of the benefit and penalties.
The simulator’s rate is an assumption, not a promise. Compare figures using the same assumptions and distinguish gross from net amounts.
Prepare: goal, time horizon, affordable monthly amount and access needs.
