PRACTICAL GUIDE

Insurance for my dog or cat: what should I compare?

Consider your pet’s care and damage it could cause to others. These are different needs worth reviewing.

  1. Have the pet’s identification, age, breed and health history ready. Check eligibility requirements.
  2. Compare network access, reimbursement of expenses and liability. An agreed network price does not mean free treatment.
  3. Check limits, your share of costs, waiting periods and how illness, accidents and routine care work under the chosen plan.
  4. Check your usual clinic, how to request assistance and the documents needed to claim expenses.

Do not assume every animal or treatment is eligible. Choose based on your pet’s profile and care needs.

Prepare: pet identification, medical history and usual clinic.
